Procrastination Help|Is There Any Antidote for Procrastination?
How do you get out of procrastination? Procrastination can bring disadvantages to us. We often procrastinate small things, and we think that’s okay. However, procrastination can be a major problem if you make it as part of your life. Procrastination can slow down our progress in life and in our career/business.
First step is to question why you procrastinate. People often disguise procrastination with the issues like getting organized or time management. In coaching, we guide the client to find out why she procrastinates. The coach will help the client to dig deep into the root cause of procrastination.
Here are some examples of reasons, why people procrastinate:
- The person may have a limiting belief that she is not good enough. Therefore, she hesitates to do it. What’s the worth of doing it?
- The person feels that it is something that she doesn’t want to do. It is not her goal. The ideas could be forced from other people.
- Lack of clarity or overwhelming feeling can cause you to procrastinate.
There are plenty of reasons why the person procrastination. Each person has a different reason. Once the client knows the cause of her procrastination, she will feel lighter, not pressured anymore. She will be able to find the antidote, how to get out of procrastination by designing an action plan and have someone that can hold her accountable.
Coaching is a gentle, non-invasive way to help the client overcome procrastination. Procrastination is like a mental block which can get in the way of your life and your career. Bringing the awareness of why you procrastinate can make a difference in your life.
