Why Personal Branding Online is Important

Today’s marketing is no longer about the benefits of the products.  You have a lot of competitions if you are selling the same products.  What matters today is not what  you  sell, but who’s selling it.  So, you need to add YOU into your business to  make your business stand out from the competition. You are not duplicable.  Discover your uniqueness.  Explore what are your interest, strength, life experiences, background, skills and values.  How can you package them into your business?  For example, I just found out that my uniqueness is my ethnicity.  I’m Indonesian born, and my country is rich in culture and tradition.  I have interests and skills in marketing, leadership and coaching.  I understand the pain of rejections and fear in business from my past experiences.  So, I will add these elements into my business and make my business unique, or we call it You Inc.  The personal branding online is a combination of your expertise, your uniqueness and your niche. I would encourage solo entrepreneurs  to find their uniqueness  so they can build their strong personal branding online.

  • I agree with miss Vivana that the last and very important element to decide whether we will buy a product is the one who is offering it to us. If the product is OK, the company is well known, the price is fair, we will think of the seller; do we know him/her well? is our relative or any of our friend also sell this. TRUST is the reason why someone is willing to surrender his right to buy or to reject.
